Kalido Awarded "Top Technology Partner" Distinction by Business Objects

Burlington, Mass. and London, UK, March 15, 2006 - Kalido, a leading provider of adaptive enterprise data warehousing and master data management software, today announced that it has been named the recipient of the "Top Technology Partner" award as part of the Business Objects 2005 Americas Partner Excellence Awards, which honor key partners for their significant contributions in delivering solutions based on Business Objects technology. The award was formally presented at the Business Objects Americas Partner Summit, held recently in Austin, Texas.

Specifically, Business Objects recognized Kalido for the release of the KALIDO Universe Manager for Business Objects, (links to PR05 Article 15) which created a highly integrated technology that supports and extends the Business Objects platform. In addition, the award acknowledged the deepening relationship between the two companies during 2005, which resulted in a significant increase in co-selling and co-marketing activities, driving revenue for both companies.

"Business Objects has made long-term strategic business partnerships a central part of its go-to-market strategy," said Greg Wolfe, senior vice president and general manager of the Americas for Business Objects. "Our Partner Excellence Awards recognize those partners that have delivered high levels of customer satisfaction in 2005, and played an important role in helping our joint customers achieve business performance on an entirely new scale. Many of our largest customers use Kalido, and their tight integration with Business Objects, to better understand their business as changes occur. This leads to more accurate answers, as data is consistent and harmonized across divisions, currencies and products."

Formally announced in 2003, (links to PR03 Article 2) the technology partnership between Business Objects and Kalido provides joint customers with the ability to rapidly construct an enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence infrastructure that responds quickly to business change. This unique combination offers decision makers an end-to-end solution for more timely and accurate visibility into corporate performance.

One joint customer, Intelsat, uses data integration and reporting tools from Business Objects with Kalido's enterprise data warehousing software to power its Business Intelligence Initiative. Intelsat's award-winning Business Intelligence Initiative has enabled the company to deliver consistent and accurate management information reporting throughout periods of change following major reorganizations and acquisitions. The project has significantly reduced creation and maintenance times associated with the data warehouse, while simultaneously eliminating opportunity costs, and increasing overall revenue through improved billing and customer receivables processes.

"Decision-makers at Intelsat rely on the Business Intelligence Initiative, based on KALIDO and Business Objects, to provide them with the critical information they need to stay ahead of the market and meet customer demands," said Adam Levy, head of IT at Intelsat. "This combined solution provides unparalleled insight into our organization. Kalido's receipt of the Top Technology Partner award from Business Objects reassures us that the two companies are working closely together and are committed to providing an end-to-end business intelligence solution."

Adam Levy will speak further about the overall benefits of the Intelsat project in a web seminar hosted by Kalido and its strategic partner Business Objects on April 19, 2006 at 11:30 AM EST / 4:30 PM BST. Registration details are at: http://www.kalido.com/intelsatwebinar

"For years, Kalido and Business Objects have shared a common approach to business intelligence," said Dr. Michael Waclawiczek, vice president of marketing and product management at Kalido. "By combining Business Objects' market-leading data integration, reporting and analytics technologies with Kalido's unique enterprise data warehousing and master data management software, our joint customers have the tools they need to implement a comprehensive enterprise business intelligence strategy. We are honored to have been chosen as the Business Objects Technology Partner of the year."
