Entry Level Data Warehouse Consultant

Position Summary:

The Associate Consultant is an exciting entry level position to start the career of a self-motivated individual desiring to build customer facing skills in data warehousing. Kalido, the leading provider of model-driven data management solutions, is revolutionizing the way data warehouses are created and is seeking recent graduates to grow into the data architects of the future.

Kalido delivers active information management for business. With Kalido, users never again have to wait for months to answer fundamental questions about business performance – which products are selling, which customers are profitable, and which markets are most promising.

Kalido software is installed at over 250 locations in more than 100 countries with market leading companies.


The successful candidates will work closely with more senior consultants to learn Kalido products as well as the technology sector of data management, encompassing data warehousing and master data management. It is expected that promotion and increasing responsibility for customer solutions will occur rapidly as experience grows.


Key Responsibilities:

After an intense mentoring and training program lasting approximately 6 months, successful candidates will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of a team on Kalido implementation projects for customers under the direction of a more senior consultant.
  • Work on internal projects such as developing IT solutions to meet internal business needs, developing re-usable tools for field use, developing integration methods with non-Kalido tools such as BI and ETL tools.
  • Assist in maintaining internal knowledgebase such as the Kalido Wiki, Best Practice documents, Kalido Approach/Methodology toolkit, and other written material.
    Testing new product releases.

As experience increases, project and leadership responsibilities will increase. Ultimately it is expected that each consultant will grow into a solution architect, advising clients on Data Management strategies and leading a team of implemtors.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or closely related technology curriculum or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 2 years consulting experience in data management discipline a distinct advantage.
  • Expertise in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2). Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience in BI and ETL.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages including Java, C# and Visual BASIC.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed. Able to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 80% of the time after the initial training period.
