Kalido has won more than a dozen major industry awards, both for technology and for successful customer deployments of that technology. Kalido has also been named "finalist" and "runner up" in a number of important awards.

2007 InfoWorld 100

InfoWorld selected Kalido customers British American Tobacco and Abbott Laboratories as two of the top 100 IT organizations that have made the best use of technology in pursuit of business goals.

Abbott Laboratories' Sales and Financial Data Warehouse Initiative uses Kalido's Information Engine in conjunction with Cognos to provide 250 finance and marketing executives in 65 countries access to consistent, high-quality data.

British American Tobacco Belgium's Global Information Management program deployed Kalido and Business Objects to create a unified BI platform in the wake of a merger with a sister company.


2007 Ventana Research Performance Management Award

Ventana Research selected Kalido customer Nationwide as the winner of its Performance Management Leadership Award for Technology Leadership in Information Management.  Nationwide was honored for making the best use of multiple technologies, including Kalido's Information Engine, for its centralized financial master data management (MDM) initiative.


DW 2.0 Certification

Kalido has been awarded the first DW 2.0 certification handed out by Bill Inmon and Inmon Consulting.

According to the official Inmon Consulting announcement, "Kalido's active information management software allows a data warehouse to be built on a foundation of technology in which the foundation can be changed rapidly and easily to meet business requirements. Kalido stands alone in its ability to deliver a flexible solution that enables the data warehouse to keep up with the rapid pace and ever-changing nature of business. As a result, it has consistently drawn attention and support from some of the largest and most prestigious organizations in the industry."


2006 InfoWorld 100

InfoWorld selected Kalido customer Nationwide Insurance as one of the top 10 projects of 2006.  Named an InfoWorld 100 Finalist for its centralized financial master data management (MDM) initiative, Nationwide was honored for making the best use of multiple technologies, including Kalido's Active Information Management software, in "innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals."

 


Bloor Research Gold Award for Master Data Management

Kalido has been awarded the Gold Award in the repository category of Bloor Research's "Master Data Management" report. In this report, Bloor analyzes 15 vendors and their master data management offerings. Kalido was singled out for its leadership in generic master data management (MDM) and pioneering of many key practices.

"Kalido's pragmatic approach to the storage and management of master data and hierarchies in any domain for analytics makes it a strong player to consider for organizations with heterogeneous environments that are struggling to gain a consistent view of their organizational data," wrote Bloor Research Associate Analyst Harriet Fryman in the report. Among other "firsts," the report also acknowledges Kalido as "the first vendor to recognize and tackle the complexity of managing multiple complex master hierarchies."


Innovator Award 2006 - Data warehousing category won by HBOS

ADT's 12th annual Innovator Awards recognize the work of IT teams who have developed - and deployed - unique applications to solve their company's business problems. HBOS plc won in the data warehousing category for developing a flexible procurement intelligence solution using the Kalido application suite to build the underlying enterprise data warehouse.

The talents of the HBOS project team combined with the ability of the Kalido data warehouse to adapt to business change enabled the team to demonstrate flexibility in the face of ongoing organizational transformation. This included post-merger integration, developing business intelligence systems for e-business and re-architecting critical information systems to compete in new and emerging markets.


Intelligent Enterprise: 2006 Companies to Watch

Intelligent Enterprise named Kalido a Company to Watch for the fourth consecutive year. In particular, Intelligent Enterprise noted Kalido's master data management success, commenting that as "business intelligence and performance management require pulling data from more sources, master data management is going from nice-to-have to necessary."


Business Objects Top Technology Partner of the Year

Kalido received the "Top Technology Partner" award as part of the Business Objects 2005 Americas Partner Excellence Awards, which honor key partners for their significant contributions in delivering solutions based on Business Objects technology.

"Business Objects has made long-term strategic business partnerships a central part of its go-to-market strategy. Our Partner Excellence Awards recognize those partners that have delivered high levels of customer satisfaction in 2005, and played an important role in helping our joint customers achieve business performance on an entirely new scale. Bloor Research Gold Award for Packaged Data Warehouses

Kalido has been awarded the Gold Award in Bloor Research's "Packaged Data Warehouses" report by Philip Howard. In this comprehensive and detailed report, Howard analyzes six packaged data warehousing solutions including DecisionPoint, IBM DB2 UDB, SAS, SAP, SPSS, Teradata and the Kalido application suite (KALIDO). The report concludes that Kalido is unique "on its emphasis that everything will change," and specifically praises Kalido for its ability to "generally adapt to meet new business demands."

In the report, Research Director Philip Howard wrote:

"Kalido - Gold Award - this is the highest rated product in this whole report (including all associated sub-domains). While we are not always comparing apples with apples, and Kalido is in any case unique, this score is merited as it resolves a serious business issue that many (particularly large) companies face... As far as we are concerned, this is a 'must see' product."


DM Review Readership Merit Award

According to DM Review, the publication "introduces the Readership Merit Awards because our readers find value in the product offerings from these vendors. The companies mentioned address the current technology needs of their real-world customers."


ADT Magazine Innovator Awards 2005

For 11 years, Application Development Trends, through its prestigious Innovator Awards, has recognized IT departments that have successfully developed and implemented innovative applications that paid off with significant business and financial benefits.

This year, the Owens Corning IT team won the data warehousing category, based upon their successful planning and execution of the company's Information Access Project (IAP). The team rapidly implemented this major initiative in just 60 days, and in constant close collaboration with their business executive colleagues. The project's technical architecture was based on Kalido and the Ascential Enterprise Application Suite. The IAP is projected to save Owens Corning millions of dollars.


Red Herring 100 Europe

Kalido was honored with the Red Herring 100 Europe accolade following the magazine's review of more than 600 private companies using financial data and criteria including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.

Red Herring's list of the top private companies continues the magazine's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs.

Kalido is again listed in the Software 500, which is a compilation of the top 500 software and services companies based on revenue.


Intelligent Enterprise 2005 Company to Watch

Kalido was named a Company to Watch in the Information Management category. The editors highlighted Kalido's business-model driven approach as invaluable to data warehousing.

The editor in chief of Intelligent Enterprise, Dave Stodder, said: "We recognized Kalido for making business sense out of the information life cycle, which should be a prerequisite to data warehousing. TornadoInsider 100

Kalido was selected as one of the best-performing and innovative high-tech private companies of Europe and Israel in 2004 in the fourth annual Tornado100 list.

According to Niels Valkering, Tornado Insider's Head of Research: "The companies Tornado Insider selected are Europe's technology stars. Combining internal analysis with advice from industry specialists, we identified the elite of Europe's high-tech entrepreneurial vanguard, appreciating excellence both in innovative, commercial and financial performance. 2004 InfoWorld 100

InfoWorld chose Owens Corning's Information Access Project (IAP) as one of the top 100 innovative new projects that highlight the resourcefulness of the IT community. The IAP is powered by a solution comprised of Kalido adaptive enteprise data warehousing software, and the Ascential Enterprise Integration Suite for enterprise data integration.

To enter the winner's circle, an InfoWorld 100 project must stretch beyond the typical, off-the-shelf solution. As judges, the editors have an explicit bias toward multiple technologies used in innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals.
