Driving the need for Data Governance across the Enterprise
Over the last 15 years, companies have tried many ways to improve the quality of their data management, from ETL to EAI, from data quality to MDM. While these tools have done much to improve the efficiency of data integration, they have done little to improve the process of keeping data integrity at a high level. Why? Because these “bottoms up” approaches don’t create a high level picture of the data environment to set policy, rules and monitor quality across multiple sources.
