The Kalido Approach is built on the collective experience and knowledge of the Kalido consulting organization, recognized as some of the best in the industry. The Kalido approach provides a best practices-based method for implementing, building and deploying information management infrastructures better and faster than traditional methods.
Using several rapid, back-to-back iterations lasting 1-4 weeks, the technical and business team jointly design the solution in an iterative, collaborative approach. Unlike traditional mock-up prototyping exercises, these iterations use real data and real technical architecture; the end result is the core of the actual solution and complete technical design. The iterations allow the business to begin interacting with real data – an activity of paramount importance – as early as possible in the project. The Achilles heel of data warehouse projects, data quality issues, are dealt with early in the project and addressed by the design, drastically reducing risk.
To help you get your data governance program up and running, Kalido Professional Services is now offering four interactive workshops. Details can be found in the Services Information Sheet.Contact us for more information on these workshops
The next phase, build, is usually short. The core is already built, and Kalido software automates the bulk of custom coding and reduces the development effort. The technical team can be confident that what’s built will fully meet business needs; change requests are rare. Just as importantly, requirements as captured in the technical design are precise – not bloated, which further serves to shorten the project and drive business value.
Companies that embraced the Kalido Approach have been able to implement information management solution at astonishing speeds, and above all, delivering real, sustainable business value. In terms of successful implementations, the combination of Kalido software, the Kalido Approach and Kalido Professional Services is unmatched in the industry.

The Kalido Implementation Advisory Service lets customers tap the expertise of Kalido consultants remotely after a Kalido professional services engagement is complete. The Kalido Implementation Advisory Service offers an extra cushion of post-implementation support for follow-up questions and assistance without the need to bring Kalido consultants on site. This remotely delivered service is open to both Kalido customers and implementation partners.
Kalido Proof of Value (POV) services enable prospective customers to evaluate and demonstrate Kalido software and Kalido Approach in their own business and technical environment. Customers work in tandem with the Kalido professional services team to create a working application prototype, delivering proof of the business value to be expected from a full implementation.
A Kalido POV delivers a fully operational data warehouse or master data management application solution typically in one to two weeks. Customers increase the probability of success and delivery speed of project deliverables because the POV operates in their existing IT infrastructure environment to tackle a problem specified by their own business needs. By implementing the Kalido software on site, on the company’s own hardware with its own data and managed by its own team, the POV provides customers the assurance that Kalido Software would deliver value with minimum technical risk. The POV is typically integrated with other Kalido implementation planning and education activities to allow a smooth transition from POV to project implementation.
A properly performed installation can help avoid time-consuming problems during development, and contribute to reliable operations. No two environments are the same; a Kalido Installation Specialist has the breadth of experience to make sure that the installation works well on your technical infrastructure based on your internal IT guidelines. In addition to completing installation of the development environment, the Kalido Installation Specialist also produces a custom Installation Guide with detailed steps so that your technical staff will be able to install additional instances of Kalido on their own. The installation is typically completed within 1 week.
Kalido Professional Services offers Upgrade Planning Service for customers who are considering upgrading to the newest releases of Kalido software. A senior Kalido consultant will assess your current solution; identify the benefits associated with an upgrade, and outline potential issues that may arise from the upgrade process. The typical duration is 1 week, and the end deliverable is a detailed upgrade plan.
Kalido Professional Services offers an Implementation Audit Service, in which a Kalido Architect performs a thorough review of the entire Kalido solution and offers recommendations. The key areas assessed are: overall architecture, business model, performance, data acquisition, presentation, and operations. The deliverable is a comprehensive document that describes the as-is solution, and proposes actionable steps, both short-term and long-term, to improve the solution. The typical duration is 2 weeks.
Kalido Professional Services will provide an Architect to perform a Project Planning service. This service should be utilized during the beginning phases of a project, and will help describe the Kalido Approach. It will also outline the methodology and architecture recommended to receive the greatest benefit from the Kalido software. The end deliverable is a high level project plan. The service is typically complete in less than 1 week.
